FILM EFFECTS COURSE
This course is included in Mariart’s Makeup Artist course, but for you who’s already a certified makeup artist and wants to further educate yourself within this field, you can now take this course separately. The demand for FX (special effects) exists within movies, TV, and advertising. Also during festivities and Halloween or masquerades, the demand for this is large.
Lessons
As the only school in Sweden Mariart offers a comprehensive course on how to create realistic wounds with FX-products and how one utilizes advanced techniques to attach prosthetics and external wounds. The course consists of two intensive days where you learn everything from quick and effective techniques to more advanced ones.
The education is aimed towards creating realistic defects and injuries such as bruises, scratches, cuts, scars, burns, and a broken nose.
Day 1
At the first lesson, we will focus on fast techniques where you easily and quickly can create bruises, scratches, cuts, scars, burns, and a broken nose.
Day 2
At the last lesson, we will focus on more advanced techniques where we learn how to apply and blend in prosthetics with makeup.
This is a technique that is used for creating realistic wounds that will last during an entire shooting day.
We will walk you through the pros and cons of different techniques and what is apt for different tasks and assignments.
At the end of the course, we will teach you about different materials and products, how you work in a special effects makeup lab as well as within a film production both in Sweden and internationally.
